Welcome to the homepage for the Kansas Rock OnLine webring, the source for the premiere local rock bands of Kansas!

bulletIf you are looking for a band to book, check out our Members page for a listing of band's websites.
bulletIf you are a member of a local band, please read on to learn more about the webring!

New!!! We just completed a major expansion of our resources section! Now you can learn how to get your band online (from basic HTML tutorials to inexpensive sources for domain names and website hosts), plus useful tips on how to promote your website for free, and how to submit your site to the search engines!

Why join?

bulletLink to other web sites like yours and...
bulletIncrease traffic to your site!
bulletUse a simple navigation bar to link to other sites.
bulletDevelop an online community.

Reciprocal links are wonderful ways to connect web sites with related information. When you wish to increase the traffic to your site by linking with other bands, you learn the more sites you link with, the more your traffic increases. Unfortunately, this turns in to a lengthy "Links" page, plus a lot of extra work for you to ensure your links are not broken and kept fresh.

The web ring makes increasing your traffic a lot easier! If another member's site goes offline or their band breaks up, they will be removed from the ring. All the links stay operational and fresh!

What does my band get out of this?

When you join, you will be asked to copy and paste a small line of HTML into your band's page, and that's it! All you need do now is tell a few more bands about the web ring and send them to this site! The more members, the higher the traffic! The ring is also organized to optimize your hits--- sites with low traffic are always placed next to sites with higher traffic.

Meanwhile, the diligent staff here at KSROL (in other words- me) check out your site, and make sure the ring HTML is properly placed.

And it's completely FREE!

If your site does not meet the requirements to be listed in the ring, but you support local musicians in the state of Kansas, we'd love to exchange links with you!
